i wanted to try my hand at the style and started off good, but then somehow fell into my same old way of doing things, especially evident in the shading.
ah, well, this just means i will have to try it again until i get it right! :)

Dirty and Sweet

i have to say, after having taken the painting class with Ron Gordon, i was inspired to try my hand at a different approach to portraiture. i tried keeping in mind the things i had learned which were all very helpful tools in this piece. i expect i’ll be doing more along these lines. at least i hope so … this took a lot out of me.

the reflection from the silver paint makes this very difficult to shoot. worse still, color correct. the bottom one is closer to the original color scheme.
