it may not seem like a big thing, but it took over a week. the clayboard is very absorbent and allowed to work in 14 layers, further trying my hand at the sfumato technique. it doesn’t seem to be any different than my usual technique of less than ten layers. in fact, i can’t even tell. plus it was only in certain areas … and i ultimately resorted to using actual borders [it's evident in her hair].
