progression …
is slow. i’m putting off the inevitable … detailing the tentacles. until now, anytime i’ve ever done anything remotely octopus-like, it’s been fairly simple and small scale. but that will be different on this piece. as it is, i’m not too satisfied with the shapes i have, as they seem stylized rather than believable. so i’m looking at different subjects to study from. google comes in handy in times like this.
however, it tends to get distracting.
good thing i’ve got something close to the real thing at my fingertips:
