none of your beeswax

i stopped by my favorite store today and picked up a few things:

beeswax! and a wooden plaque! and also natural bristle brushes!

so now i can properly experiment with pure encaustic techniques.
in the last studies, the cold wax didn’t harden completely.

i’m giddy with excitement.

i also picked up some of my favorite pigment in a different color [not shown in the photo], Pink Gold. not only will i incorporate into future paintings, but i wanted to try this as one of the colors for another mermaid scarf. nummy.

i was searching for an example of “pink gold” and ran across this. is that not the laziest thing you’ve ever seen? :\
