monday

i’m having a difficult time titling these posts, can you tell?

spent the majority of the weekend spring cleaning. hauled off a lot of stuff that would otherwise do great at a garage sale to the side of the road.

me: “you’re throwing away my nintendo?”

tim: “when was the last time you played it?” [as he's dragging out MORE boxes from the garage and i sigh with exasperation].

me: “fine.”

considered listing stuff on craigslist, but do i really want people knowing where i live? not really. and i already have a ton of other stuff to do than worry about listing or replying. nothing i hate worse than spring cleaning except spring cleaning when i’m not expecting it. [read: we have relatives visiting from out of state for the first time ever.]

the site is coming along nicely. i hit a snag, though, when i checked it here at work. the images in the oil gallery load terribly slow [they're the original sized pix but scaled down by height/width, not actual file size. looks like i'm back to making thumbnails].

had lunch with nick today. it’s always great to spend time with him and it had been a while since we’d hung out. he gave me a copy of one of the latest songs he’s been working on, but my computer here won’t play it, so i’ll try it at home. i’m so proud of how far that guy has come. just yesterday we were just a “couple of kids” with stars in our eyes … seems like those stars are now in our pockets. :)

ETA: i came home, saw the pile of stuff looked still mostly in tact and rushed over to see if the box marked “nintendo and games” was still there. no such luck. the “children’s videos” were gone, too. sorry, carol. on the upside, we’ll be cleaning the attic in a month. i think the super nintendo [and games] is there. it’s all your’s if you want it.
